Tamko (TAMK Students’ Union)

Tamko is the students’ union for all students in Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK). The main purpose of Tamko is to represent students within TAMK administration and to promote their educational affairs as well as wellbeing and social conditions. Tamko also monitors student’s interests according to the Finnish law.

Tamko provides e.g. these services:

• Provides wellbeing and sports services
• Supports and organises clubs, projects and excursion activities related to different hobbies and study fields
• Organizes cultural and leisure activities for students
• Lends Survival Kits for new international students
• Coordinates all student tutoring activities in TAMK
• Provides students a living room (Solu) on TAMK Main Campus where all students are welcome to have a cup of coffee/tea and enjoy the company and the daily newspapers.
• Tamko members can lend sports equipment, buy tickets to various student events, and have meetings with board and council members.
• Students can also order and pick up their student card and validate the student card’s semester sticker at Solu.
